Starting a new…

I have been on more diets then I can count.  I’ve lost weight but then gained it back plus more.  I am offically done with diets because they DO NOT work.  I have finally taken the first step in changing my life forever.  I have decided that I need to make a lifestyle change that will stay with me forever.  I have joined LOA & now work out a minium of 5 days a week.  I have cut back on the food I am eating & the weight is starting to slowly come off.  I realize that it may take some time to reach my goals but this time the weight will be gone once & for all :).  People have always told me that I have to be ready to make a change or it will never work.  I finally understand what they were telling me because this time is like no other.  I feel great for the first time in as long as I can remember.  I look forward to going to the gym everyday.  I have so much more energy now that I’m not eating all the fats & sugars.  I’m changing my life one day at a time!

Today I’m doing well.  I’m enjoying our cooler weather but all this rain is making me tired.  I really need to get up & exercise more.  Well, I got 30 minutes in this morning & I will try to get in 30 minutes this evening.  I don’t really have much to say today more tomorrow.

I had a good day yesterday until I tried to have only two cookies & ate 1/2 the bag…grrr.  Well, I’m not going to let that stop me from doing what I set out to do.  I’m going to pick myself up & dust me off.  Today is a new day & a fresh start.  Everyone falls of the wagon sometimes but what matters is how you deal with it.  Do you let it get you down or do you get up & start over.  I choose to get up start over TODAY IS A NEW DAY!  I CAN DO THIS!

Today was challenging for the first time since I have started my diet I took my kids to McDonalds.  Usually I get 2 McDoubles then when I get home I add chips & desert.  Well you don’t have to be an expert to see that is a very unhealthy meal not to mention a days worth of calories.  I am very proud of myself this time because instead of the McDoubles I chose a Cesar Salad w/grilled chicken & a water.  What a major change in the right direction.  I must say I gave myself a big pat on the back for a job well done.
